World Physiotherapy Day — Narayan Memorial Hospital, Behala
Greetings to all.
Like every year this year also the World Physiotherapy, formerly World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) celebrated the World Physiotherapy day on 8th september to promote health awareness to all. The theme of this year is Arthritis mainly focusing on the inflammatory arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis.
Arthritis is defined as an inflammation of the joints which can be small or big joints, including joints of the spine which is known as spondyloarthritis .
It can happen to any age group or sex.
The symptoms include swelling ,redness, pain, deformity and loss of function.
Being a part of the multidisciplinary team physiotherapist has an important role to contribute.
Specialist physiotherapist can design an individualized tailored specific exercise plan which will help to minimize joint pain, restrictions or damage and improve muscle health, flexibility and overall function.
So if you’re having any arthritic symptoms don’t hesitate to take help from a registered physiotherapist to learn about the safe exercise program which will not only slow down the inflammatory process but also improves your joint function, dexterity and activities of daily life in the form of fitness.
In Narayan Memorial Hospital we are having a specialized and trained physiotherapy department where after proper evaluation we will guide you for a safe and suitable exercise regime for your better health. We are having all the modern equipment and tools to guide you in the smooth journey of your healing.
Wishing you all a very healthy life.
Thank you Dr Arghya Prakash Dey. PhD Scholar. HOD of Dept. Of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Narayan Memorial Hospital, Behala.
